  1. Perspective, Style & Creative Identity

How would you describe what you do and the work you create?

I would say I’m creative-at-large. I have started my career as fashion editor and stylist, worked at Vogue, L’Officiel, number of independent beautiful publications, and up-coming brands. I have always been interested in fashion more like an art form, rather than just a practical element. I love projects that carry messages, narratives and have long term effects. I have created my creative consulting company On The Map Creative to be able to work with brands and projects in that direction.

How would you describe your approach to style?

Since I have been working in fashion pretty much my entire life, - its always changing. At work, I adapt to the idea or direction we’re taking, and make sure styling is true to the purpose. I would always try to add some art elements to it, of course.  In my personal style, - I love  reasonable experiments, but always stick to pieces that work best on me. Always hunting vintage - mixing up high end vintage and fun new pieces - is one of my favourite. And I really pay attention to the garment, its history and how it was made.

You’ve lived and worked across different cities and cultures. How have those environments shaped your eye and the way you interpret fashion?

I have to admit, the geography and mentality of each city is very different, and it's actually one of my favorite parts of experiencing each one of them, by going to the places, watching people, and getting to know the creative communities. I think the core of my style doesn’t really change much, but it does adapt some local elements. I like to play with colors, textures and specific narratives. I truly believe there is no better education - than travelling (and living), experiencing different cultures. I love history, I love crafts and local art practices - and at the end this knowledge just creates an absolutely unique body of work and approach to each project.

  1. New York, Energy & Global Style

You recently joined us in New York for our Kate & Kole x Silk Laundry dinner — what is it about New York that inspires you creatively?

New York, like other mega cities - is bustling  with people and their creative energies. To be able to connect with each unique person, learn their story and witness their art - is the most inspiring.

There’s a distinct energy to how people dress in New York. How would you describe it and how does it differ from other places you’ve spent time in?

New York tends to favour a more muted colour palette, practical dressing and minimal silhouettes. Over time, I've naturally adopted some of those elements myself. There's a certain beauty in how people dress to complement the city's landscape, almost as though they're blending into the grey tones of the skyscrapers and streets while still expressing their individuality.

How do you see Kate & Kole fitting into the New York wardrobe or lifestyle?

Kate & Kole pieces have beautiful, timeless and at the same time artistic design - creating perfect modern heirlooms.

  1. A place in New York you always return to?

The MET museum is my favorite

  1. Personal Connection & Meaning

We often think of jewellery as something that becomes part of you over time. What role does jewellery play in your own sense of identity or expression?

My favourite pieces become a natural part of my everyday wardrobe. They feel like an extension of who I am, quietly expressing and reinforcing my sense of identity.

Your aesthetic feels very considered, but never forced. How do you maintain that sense of ease in a world that can feel quite fast and trend-driven?

I am trying to stay true to what I  love and the way I feel and see the world no matter which Pinterest mood board is trending. I have my pillars  and more important to me is to get even deeper into understanding and learning them.

What does feeling ‘like yourself’ look like right now?

I feel most like myself when I'm immersed in a new creative project, travelling, and discovering new places and experiences alongside my daughter.

  1. Discover Hand Drawn Heart Necklace

    Objects, Meaning & Jewellery

We believe objects can become anchors — reminders of moments, people or phases of life. What holds meaning for you at the moment?

I don't have many objects that hold this kind of meaning for me. The one that stands above all others is my grandmother's ring. I used to admire it and try it on when I was little, and now that it's mine, it serves as a beautiful reminder of our connection and the memories we shared.

My Kate & Kole Hand Drawn Heart Necklace holds a similarly special place in my heart. The heart was drawn by my daughter, making it a tangible symbol of our bond, creativity and the moments we've shared together. I hope that in 20 years' time  and beyond  we'll still be wearing these necklaces and sharing the story of how they were created with future generations.
